THINGS YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW
How come there are no pictures of (me) my kid? The photographer does not play favorites with respect to the subjects of her photographs. But, if she was distracted by idle chat while your child was on the field, she may not have gotten a shot. Special requests are entertained. So, come up and say hi, and tell me your kid's number (or yours) and I’ll take the pictures and post those that get through quality control. Or, I’ll post those that are cool enough to see even if they may not be as sharp as some others.
I’d like to own the digital copy of the photograph I’ve bought, how can I do that? With the digital file of an image, you can make the image the desktop on your computer, or put it in a calendar for Grandma, or turn it into your family Christmas card – anything you like. If you are interested in owning a high resolution digital file of any photograph, you may buy it for $21.99 by selecting the digital download option when you order your photos. You will then have what is known as a personal use license and can make as many copies as you like. You may not use the image for commercial purposes without contacting SportSprite for further permission.
Low Resolution Digital Downloads are also available. You can also download a low resolution digital file of any photograph for $4.99. These downloads are suitable for use on Facebook, MySpace or on your personal website.
Why are the images cropped for 8 x 10? The photographs are sized to fit best on an 8 x 10 print. If you choose a different size print, preview the picture to make sure it translates well to whatever size you have chosen so you don't lose heads or feet. If you would like the picture re-cropped, send an e-mail to sprite@sportsprite.com and it will be adjusted.
Will SportSprite come and take pictures at my event? Yes. If you ask and if it fits into the schedule. Send an e-mail to sprite@sportsprite.com and include the type of event, date, time, location and directions. We'll let you know if we can cover it. Most events require an appearance fee of $100 depending on the location of the event. The appearance fee will be waived if SportSprite is given a roster of the team with jersey numbers and e-mail addresses for the players or their parents.
Am I seeing double? No. Sometimes the same photograph will appear twice, cropped differently. One image might show the context of the play, the second image may focus on a particular player – suitable for framing. The photographer is also fond of seeing the ball hit the back of the net and may zoom in on that, just because it looks good.
The game was over more than an hour ago, why aren’t the pictures up yet? SportSprite makes every effort to post all pictures that pass quality control as quickly as possible. Many times that requires review of over 400 shots. Only a percentage of those make the grade. The review process sometimes takes a day or so. Keep checking back.
Hey! I don't want that picture up there! Send an e-mail to sprite@sportsprite.com and the picture will be taken down.
